I designed a wonderful project for this Teacher's day which was divided into five activities: DIY Card making, a wonderful dance performance, making a flower bouquet, a Hidden jigsaw puzzle, and cake cutting at the end. We had this event for both Bienhoa and Longkhanh.
I had taken the overall responsibility to design the lesson content and get it approved by Ms. Thuy Anh on time two weeks before to have the materials in-house without any delay. We taught the students a Teacher song for performing during the Teachers day project and made some structure in English to make them understand the important role of teachers in their life.
Even though the idea was single-handed I grouped my team to have perfect teamwork to design and get the suggestion for making the sample for the flower bouquet in such a way for us to find the best way of doing all the planned activities for this teacher's day project.
1. Making a DIY handmade card for teachers
We let the students make DIY handmade cards for our teachers. We designed two parts in this to make the students express their creativity by managing the time as we made them color their hearts shaped and star-shaped paper cuttings to decorate the card. On the other side, we made them place their fingerprints on the card by drawing a tree to symbolize that the teacher makes them grow. Even though it was not so catchy and simple, the efforts of our students were clearly seen as they do it for their teachers. It looks wonderful at the end and all the teachers liked the card which was prepared by the students.
2. A wonderful dance performance
I have planned a 2mins song where our kids will learn and sing to our teachers during the end of the project while we cut the cake. I made them learn the lyrics and trained the students with the steps. Everybody loved enjoying dancing to the song during this project as it was simple and comfortable lyrics for them with the apt music. It went well as per plan. All the teachers loved the performance and singing along with the students as well.
I have attached the student dancing performance video at the end of this blog. please watch it.
3. Making a flower bouquet
I also planned to show our appreciation for teachers by letting the students make a DIY straw flower bouquet with engraved pictures on it. The students fix a photo of them on their favorite colored flowers and gave it to the teacher by eliciting "Happy teachers day" - "This is for you". It also went well as the teachers really loved their kids to appreciate them for being a tremendous souls in their life. Once they gave it to the homeroom teacher, I supported them to fix all the flowers in the Bouquet pattern using the glue gun. Then we gifted a wonderful DIY straw flower bouquet to our teachers.
4. Hidden jigsaw puzzle game
Any event and project without a game won't be fun. So I made a wonderful hidden jigsaw puzzle with the teacher's picture and allow the students to find who is hidden. It was really fun and made the students happier when they recognize the found the teacher while playing the puzzle. The teachers were really shy to see their pictures on the big screen. But it really made the children enhance their thinking skills to play this jigsaw puzzle game.
5. A cake for the teachers as an appreciation
At last, when ending the project I want the students to sing and perform for the teachers by cutting a surprise cake. It was like a reward for their hard work and recognition for their support. It also went well as planned. But in some classes, students were really excited after seeing the cake. But we managed efficiently to give our lovely performance and made the teachers cut the cake as a final part of the project.
Apart from just a celebration we also tried to impose a set of benefits to our students as outcomes listed below
Benefits of the Teachers day project
The handmade card and bouquets that we made for teachers look more wonderful than the items which are sold outside. But when students make this craft, they dedicate that 20 minutes for the teachers to mindfully appreciate them in their life and they like to think all that love shows through in the gift that they made for the teachers. Spending time does not have to involve an entire day or even have to cost much at all. The main factor is finding things that they can do together and one of the best ways to spend time together is doing handmade crafts like cards and bouquets that we did. The best crafts often involve paper and the benefits of allowing children to make these paper cards will help them throughout their lives improved their focus, and creativity flow, and enhance their fine motor skills.
As we all know music helps young learners improve their fine and gross motor skills. It also builds a close relationship with the song which they performed for their teachers. As they sing the song in English, it also shows the development in their language skills. I also saw that the jigsaw puzzle in the teacher's day project is grasping pieces and matching them together to find the hidden person. It improved their spatial awareness and hand-eye coordination.
Last but not the least, I also used the cake celebration for our teachers to create a wonderfully memorable moment with their students which can be the main part of emotional and social child development.
I am also sharing the videos of the Teachers day project below for your review. Don't miss the performance of our wonderful students and the best moments which we had in this 40th year of teachers day.

I am showcasing an interesting activity that is really important during early education. I prepared some animals in wooden lacing sets to get our dolphins to review animals' vocabularies and actively learn. Lacing is a great activity for our young children to assist with fine motor skills, visual stimulation, and bilateral coordination, along with creating an introduction to the skills needed for sewing and more. If you want to get your students ready for shoe-lace tying, these activities are perfect for honing those skills early on. This will improve focus and create a fun learning environment. I know that this toy would bring him a lot of benefits for our students. As a preschool teacher, I believe that toddlers should be exposed to different fine motor activities. In fact, it is highly recommended to expose children to activities that could help them strengthen their hands, wrists, and...
We had a wonderful theme that was set by me in the English department for the kindergarten Level. All the students loved it and it came out really well. The lessons were really catchy and the outcome was the best out of all. We had an overall six weeks with 20 awesome activities. I took the overall responsibility from start to end by working with the suppliers, managers, admins, staff, and teachers by coordinating and executing perfectly. It was a successful and memorable one where I got a lot of appreciation from the head of the departments and the principal. We don't have any negative feedback from the parents and the homeroom teachers as well. Below is the overall review of the program which we have done.
As we all know the Smart goal for a teacher should be optimizing class time. increasing student engagement and reinforcing the student vocabulary. I made my workout plan with students to find the gaps by finding out how to improve the student's progress through motivation and make learning fun through interactive games and activities. As I know the SMART goals involve S- specific, M- measurable, A- achievable, R- relevant, and T- timebound. S (Specific) - In the class, I have set a goal with a clear structure pattern and detailed aim for each level. you can see the sample I have listed below. M ( Measurable): I also handle the chicken and dolphin levels. Every time the student increases the level, I will articulate some challenging activities suiting for them to improve their progress and clearly plan to have my ideas work to achieve my goals. A (Achievable) - By using my interesting and fun activities to educate my students is the main task of staying on top of my lesson ...
