TEAMWORK , SENSITIVITY AND RESPONSIBILITY - ENGLISH SONG DANCE PERFORMANCE
I am showcasing the English dance performance which I taught to my students for 1 month. I had set a schedule for practice with the kindergarten department for 35 mins after lunch to have this wonderful outcome.
From an educational perspective, the performance experience, the creative teamwork needed to make it happen, and the acknowledgment that comes with it, can undoubtedly enhance students’ personal development and self-esteem. This blog information may be a useful checklist for teachers who are presenting performance as part of the learning experience, for the first time.
Teachers or leaders should observe students carefully and give praise, correction, or guidance where due. For assessment purposes, look for consistency, cooperation, teamwork, creative input, problem-solving, and commitment.
The first step is to discuss the theme, organize rehearsal space and prepare the rehearsal schedule.
The second step is to select music, discuss design, assign roles and begin choreography.
The third step is to finalize the choreography, music, costumes, and props which are suitable and comfortable for our kids
Step four is rehearsal and refinement on the stage and venue where we are going to dance (Hall A2 & campus 2 ground floor )
These are steps that need to be followed in order to deliver a wonderful performance.
The three key principles for performers are followed below :
- Dancers, and indeed all performers, should aim to perform with confidence and sincerity. each student during final rehearsals to continue, improvise and/or recover quickly.
- As a teacher, you will hopefully establish a strong sense of group unity and trust so that performers will feel safe and supported both on stage and off.
- Concentration and relaxation are vital, so have group warm-up sessions before each run-through and performance to establish focus and unity, and to help reduce nerves. I have attached the video of the making of this wonderful performance and training of the team members where we are improving with practice and getting their teamwork and unity to be enhancing their self-esteem.
